and THHBR he says.. .how will I ever deal???  :tom:

You wasted money on an Xbox One X when no developers this past 12 months have catered to it at all, and have actually put out games that were worse performing than the only console they really care about: the PS4.

And MS has been doing more catering to PC than Xbox as of late.  Flight Sim, Age of Empires, Gears Tactics... :rofls:

5 times a console price to play on XBOX settings :sabu:

NO developers you say? That's a LIE and you know it.  Werent you playing at 45fps to hit a certain resolution ?? But now you will discredit a 30% resolution jump because occasionally pro will get a few more fps average? ( in a very small amount of games)

LMAO, DUMBO HERMITS

Before he said "higher than consoles" and now it's "console settings" :tom:

I was playing at 45fps because the game was fucked at launch, but a patch fixed my issues and after that it was clear sailing.  And yes.. I will discredit your resolution bump, because the performance has almost always been worse than the competition in this years games.

They're not catering to the X at all.  They're making PS4 games and bumping the res... THAT'S IT.  You know it's true... especially when one version of a game is outselling the other 3:1:rofl:

The power gap from Pro to X is usually pretty spot on with the resolution difference. Its not going to have massively higher settings. Even tho, a lot of games still do.

Difference is PC version was fixed... and the console versions still suck ass :kaz:

Whatever else you're blabbing on about.. lmao nobody gives a shit.  The only 10/10 game released this year is exclusive to PC.. the best games for next year outside of FF7 are all going to be best on PC.. and Valve is back to making Half-Life..exclusive to PC :juggle:   Fuck consoles :freeman:

Speaking to My.Games’ Ivan Pabiarzhyn, franchise lead for free to play shooter Warface, the transition to solid state drives will be the “most important improvement” for next-gen consoles. “The performance of the disk subsystem is the narrowest bottleneck of the current generation. And this problem is becoming more urgent every year with the growing trend for open worlds of the size of tens and sometimes hundreds of square kilometers in modern game projects. As for the open game worlds, it is impossible to keep the entire game map in RAM, so developers have to add new objects location by location as the player moves forward.

“In order to do this, the developer has to use tricks in the schedule (deterioration of detail and range of drawing objects, using fewer unique objects on the map) and gameplay (limitation of the maximum speed of a player’s movement, creation of buffer zones on the map with a reduced number of unique objects in order to be able to load next zone with more details). Of course, developers do not like to make such compromises, because it affects their games.”

The SSD in this case will act as an extension to the system’s RAM. “But SSD solves this problem. You can think of SSD as an extension of RAM. Levels should load faster, drawing distances can be increased. It should also allow developers to get rid of such a rudiment as a ‘loading screen’ and make the game as seamless as possible. Fast streaming allows making larger game worlds with richer content locations.”

Unreal 4's Virtual Texturing, I think this is what they talked about in the Scarlett video when they said they can use the SSD as "back up RAM".

"

Streaming Virtual Texturing

Streaming Virtual Texturing reduces texture memory overhead when using very large texture sizes, including support for virtual texture lightmaps and UDIM (U-Dimension). Stream virtual textures is an alternative way to stream textures from disk compared to existing mip-based texture streaming.

"The main reason for Virtual Texturing (VT), or Sparse Virtual Textures, as it is sometimes called, is as a memory optimization. The gist of the thing is to only move into video memory the actual texels (generalized as pages/tiles) that you might need for a rendered frame. So it will allow you to have much more texture data in offline or slow storage (HDD, Optical-Disk, Cloud) than it would otherwise fit on video memory or even main memory. "
