Playstation Tablet 1,723
Halo MCC PS4 and Switch would be a wise idea going by Steam sales. Come on Phil, that one final betrayal is at hand.

He also said this Sony is beginning to see that PC isn't competition with consoles.. They have PS Now on PC... in which people don't need to buy their console... they're bringing games to PC or allowing them.. Journey, Flower, Heavy Rain, Beyond 2 Souls, Detroit: Become Human, Death Stranding.. plus others they've published that I can't think of right now. Getting their console games at a later date won't do anything to their console hardware sales... People who buy $500 boxes are different from people who buy $1500 PCs... And let's not forget where the REAL money is in this equation.... game sales...

The damage to the lose of hardware sales , sub numbers, royalty on third party games sales like cod etc would be absolutely brutal for a shit cut on steam were they don't even get the benefit of the full game sale. Something like DS or Quantic Dream is fine since these are partnership games. Sony's worldwide studios? It's suicide.

It's not suicide ffs Maybe that was the intention.. and then they realized that fuck all barely bought PROs in the grand scheme of things and that they'd be better served to actually support those PC gamers who want to play their games instead of trying to keep them on their platform. You know... game sales make much more money for Sony than console sales.
Playstation Tablet 1,723
We need to define buyers though. For the high spender that buys consoles at launch, and the 30 million consumer users that buy like 70 percent of all software the PC is a competing platform. If I remember correctly PS4 versions of multiplats started to outsell the PS3 versions only 6 months after launch, which is the consumer that's most valuable. So number totals of hardware aren't that important in this day and age. The consumer that buys a 200 PS4 with a 3 game deal on BF obviously isn't affected by PC or the retard that gets a 100e XBox SAD on BF. But these guys basically spend nothing on the platform after the initial purchase, they are low value customers. Edited December 8, 2019 by Team 2019

It would be like 1.5-2 years later... That's not going to affect anything. Aza.. you can bet Sony is looking at all this very closely. MS already does it... it's not like console gamers would have another console to run to that's not doing it... The reality is that Sony knows and sees the future in which hardware is more of an obstacle to selling software than it is a benefit. The more platforms they support, the more screens they can reach... the more games they can sell. And you can bet they are looking to have their world class games reach as big of a market as possible.

Not their wall gardened PSN sales though. They literally sit on their ass and get a 30 percent cut from GTA, COD, FIFA etc nevermind PSN subs

They're literally charging for PS Now... They could do it. But let's not pretend that Sony releases dynamite MP games which require PSN or anything.. And they do make most of their profits from game sales. Sony's games are selling in the 10s of millions now. You can bet they'd be down with releasing exclusives later on PC (especially during a console transition where the install base of the new console is small... and make big money off of old releases on PC during that time.. Again.. I don't think it's going to happen all at once. Baby steps.... but you can bet they are looking into this and massaging the market into accepting this. (that's what I believe they are doing with these 2nd party PS games releasing on PC like Death Stranding and Detroit)
