MalaXmaS 646
No bait. Seriously, it was a good movie, but great, don't think so. I think Heath Ledger wowed me way more with his representation of the Joker.

roflpwnedz 289
Yeah, I just kept thinking heath ledger would have done a more convincing job. I mean Joaquin Pheonix did a good enough job....but I felt that if you've ever really suffered from mental issues or seen others, maybe even had a drug induced psychosis that it would just seem like he is trying too hard. Vini 430
Heath Ledger's Joker and this Joker are in 2 completely different universes that have no connection to each other. They're both great Jokers but they might as well be 2 different characters.
Vini 430
The whole point of Ledger's joker was that his backstory was mysterious and revealing it would degrade the character, he's just chaos personified.
Kitad 95
I agree. It was a well made movie with a paper thin plot and very clumsy themes. For the people who love it, take out the magnificent performance, would you still think that the script is anything that special? Oh but its so much to say about mental health and social inequality or something. LMFAO no it doesn't. It just uses those themes as window dressing to tell a worst version of Taxi Driver. I must say that there is one scene which I loved when the dwarf dude can't get out of Arthur's house.
