Yeah, also his 4th kid isn't even a year old. No way they'd bring it on a helicopter.

Kobe has a helicopter license, he may have been the pilot.

ABC was the source of Kobe's daughters being on the helicopter, but now they're saying the opposite and that they've confirmed Kobe's daughters, Kobe's wife, and Rick Fox (he was rumored to be) were not on the helicopter.

 

Still a sad day.

 

Edit: TMZ saying one daughter, Gianna, was on the helicopter and also died.

And, you would imagine that Kobe puts the money to maintain his helicopter in tip-top shape with inspections and maintenance.
