Be honest, did impeachment hurt or help Trump?

Recommended Posts

His approval rating is now higher than it was after inauguration. :| the democrats probably ensured another Trump term. I knew it was a stupid plan right from the get go. We all knew what the end result would be but they did it anyway.

It was failed plan from the start.

and to think they were going with it and trying to push Biden down our throats for President.

When it was Biden's corruption that prompted the Trump administration to investigate.

was doing the right thing, the right thing to do?

Yeah.

Its not a hard question.

And you're referencing a right-wing leaning poll...........and he's barely crossed 50%. lol

Trump is impeached, and you'll know that it'll get to him as he will be randomly bitching about it from here on out.

Let me ask you a simple question, do you remember Bill Clinton as a completely clean president? Didn't think so.

So you think impeachment hurt trumps chances of being re-elected?

If we had better candidates it would hurt him.  But my country is doomed to fail.

They so blind against good candidates like Bernie and Tulsi that they rather push up establishment nobody (Pete Buttigieg) and a little lying injun (Elizabeth Warren) up to face Trump in the general for the Ultimate defeat.

Take a look at the head-to-head polling matchups.

Almost all of the Democratic candidates match him, or beat him.

Then view the polling on indenpendents and how they viewed the impeachment and the Senate's response, alot of them don't agree with it. In fact a new poll came out in which 33% of people approved of what the Senate did.

Nancy Pelosi dragging this out and making it seem like Trump will be in a never-ending slog of shit........this isn't a new tactic. This has been quite common within the past 30 years.

Trump's people not going to have the enthusiasm in November 2020 as he did in November 2016. People can and do get shamed to stay home and not vote. You only need a small percentage of people in certain states to do that in order for it to make the difference.

American voters are evenly split, 49 - 49 percent, on the Senate's decision to acquit President Trump of both articles of impeachment. Republicans approve 95 - 4 percent, independents approve 53 - 45 percent, and Democrats disapprove 90 - 8 percent.

Despite the acquittal, voters say 55 - 40 percent that the Senate voting to acquit President Trump does not clear him of any wrongdoing in the Ukraine matter. Republicans say 81 - 12 percent that the acquittal clears the president of wrongdoing, while Democrats 91 - 6 percent and independents 54 - 40 percent say it does not. By 51 - 46 percent, voters say the charges against President Trump were serious enough for him to be impeached and put on trial.

I mean it had to be done. the law is still the law. Regardless if we knew what the end result would be. It’s a slippery slope if we just begin to ignore crimes with actual witnesses because we know his friends are going to let him off the hook. Him and future presidents would just begin to do what they want with no repercussions if they knew their party are going to let him go.

He will go down in history as 1 of 3 presidents to ever be impeached. And considering his complete temper tantrums he’s been throwing before and after, he obviously cares a great deal. He just digs his hole even deeper by firing respected officials like vindman

only sad part is when he’s gone, Republicans will all pretend they never supported him like they all do with bush now. And the cycle will continue with the next awful republican president

He’s the absolute worst. Him and trey gowdy before him. They’re all hypocrites. Trump has probably said stuff about his entire party and they still pretend like it never happened.

at least McCain and Romney had some balls to not just go blindly with everything their party is in favor of

i actually liked mccain. i would have been fine with him as president. i have a lot of respect for war heroes.

Wasn’t a fan of his policies, but I respected him as a person for what he did for our country. I actually would love to see a documentary on his life. He lived one hellish life. He was a Vietnam pow for years and when they were going to release him he said he wasn’t leaving unless the rest of his guys were released as well. so they kept him captive and tortured for more years.

i can say, I don’t have those kinda balls. Not even close

That's another bullshit Trump thing when he attacked McCain for being captured and the GOP still says they're for the military. :|

Oh yeah. Sometimes I just don’t get it. But I’ve given up. I don’t understand why he would say that, and why his fans would still not call him out on that. I unfortunately have a brother who’s big on trump and I asked him what he thought of trump saying that and he said McCain is a piece of shit and a Democrat in disguise. or his other comment where he mocked a politician woman who recently lost her husband. John dingell. And she was grieving. In a rally he joked saying he’s not looking down, he’s probably looking up right now. Stupid.  Who finds this funny?

the thing with Obama drinking the glass of water in Michigan and joking was idiotic and I’ll say he was a complete  dumbass for doing that. Heck you just mentioned Lindsey graham and as much as I think he’s trash id feel kinda bad and wouldn’t mock his spouse after her loss if he died

But were living in an episode of the twilight zone right now

Not that he needed any help, but it absolutely boosted him. The Democrats look like total incompetent idiots who are just throwing shit at the wall and crying wolf.

Then you look at the field of Democrats themselves and realize how fragmented, socialist pandering, weak and ineffective they are and it all becomes clear.

They're all B and C level competition, there's no standout amongst them, no one anyone can actually get behind. They're second rate politicians and personalities without a single realistic or grounded plan amongst them.

Basically the demorats make Trump appear better and better as they make themselves look worse and worse. They need to regroup and try again in 2024 because this goose is cooked.

Everyone thought trump was a joke and he wouldn’t win. Polls showed him losing all the way up until the election. Until he won.

But I’ll give you that. I think he’ll win again this year. Probably even worse this time than against Hilary. Biden sucks and I just don’t see people siding with Bernie enough to win. The media have already made that a reality by ignoring him, again. Unfortunately.

but it’s like that quote from the wire. “Americans are all stupid people. We believe everything were told”

"everyone" i.e. democrats, are you not seeing the trend here? It's been loss, after loss, after loss against this guy.

I didn't doubt for a second he would win, it seemed pretty clear even in the face of the polls which should be thrown right out the window.

The thing I find sad and shocking is that with 3 years of Trump and all the failed attempts at obstructing him, all the attempts at trying to get him removed from office, all the attempts at trying to make him look like a corrupt warlord; that after 3 years the current field of democrats was the best this party could do.

It's fucking hilarious.

Nah, it didn't really boast anything.

All polling suggests that people know he is guilty of a crime, and that he got away from properly being punished.

And polling suggests that all Democratic candidates beat him in head-to-head matchups.

AND there is another scandal breaking out tonight, with all four prosecutors quitting over the Roger Stone case because of a clear case of.............ANOTHER...................clear abuse of power in which the President is clearly pushing the DoJ to allow Roger Stone to go scot-free.

Very reminiscent of the DoJ trying to let Epstein go free before SDNY was able to jail him.

Those 4 prosecutors are now going to become witnesses for Adam Schiff.

Here comes another Impeachment.
