DynamiteCop 2,085
Maybe the PS5 SSD is so fast it can warp the space time continuum and cause us to loop back around to 2019 for the PS5's release.

We know it was 2019 bound though, so it just didn't pan out.

Remij 4,672
I'm not buying one at launch unless Demon's Souls Remake is an actual thing. If it is, day 1. If not... I'm not buying one. I'm gonna be doing a completely new PC build anyway.

My next CPU will have either 8, 10, 12, or 16 cores. I'm thinking of 16 cores now, just to have a bit of headroom since the consoles are going to have dedicated decompression I/O. A CPU with more cores will be a big plus taking that into account. I want to see Intel's Rocket Lake S.. and of course the Ryzen 4000 series. Either way 3080ti 8+core CPU PCIe4.0 motherboard 32GB RAM PCIe4.0 NVMe SSD when they come Edited March 24, 2020 by Remij_

Didn't they say you needed 14 cores minimum?

They said it would be 3 cores doing software decompression matching the rate of the SSD, and then with I/O overhead that would be another 2 cores. So it would be 5 cores in total... using the current I/O system. 7 for the game, 1 for OS, and 5 for decompression I/O on PC. DirectStorage is coming to PC though, so it should help somewhat.
