While every sport in the world is in hiatus, he’s been actively trying to start it up again. Dude tried to restart ufc again in empty arena at an Indian casino in CA and ESPN the govenor put a stop to it. Now he’s gone back to his original idea of hosting on a remote island. Why must the entire planet shutdown for a virus that has a 98% survival rate? We've gone bonkers. Smoking is legal, kills millions, no one gives a fuck. People drive cars, kills millions, no one gives a fuck. A virus hits that is mild in most cases, and only kills people with weakened immune systems and the entire world stops. Because he, and whatever network that agrees to air his event, would be legally liable if ANY PERSON involved with the production of this event were to come up sick with coronavirus, and die as a result of it. This is the same argument with MLB attempting to have baseball played in just one city and quarantine the players in their hotel rooms at all times. That's not the problem, the problem is the support staff to provides all of the services for all of the people in the sports organization. If a professional athlete is in a hotel, that means there are: wait staff kitchen staff transportation staff TV production crew stadium event staff security staff and tons of other people that have to be to just to produce the event. And they will be in close proximity...........breaking guidelines for public safety. And for what?????????????????? A sports event? And if somebody comes to that island that is asymptomatic, or in the early incubation period of getting the virus? They cannot guarantee that somebody won't get sick and die. And they would get sued easily, because they are knowingly doing this while all major governments have declared this to be a worldwide health emergency, and have clear guidelines.
