Holy shit :D

From Japan Studio and Bluepoint Games comes a remake of the PlayStation classic, Demon’s Souls. In addition to beautiful shadow effects and ray tracing, players can choose between two graphics modes while playing: one focused on fidelity, and one focused on frame rate.

it’s already been maxed out

People thinking this won't be a thing next gen. :mj:

Yup, having a performance option is actually great news and should be standard next gen. 4K 30fps for the highest visual fidelity possible but include a performance option to run games at 60fps at a lower graphic setting. This is the way to go next gen.

It’s a fucking remaster :tom:

It's a remake... at native 4k... with Ray tracing.  It's been in development for years... land likely isn't even using many of the new features of the hardware architecture.

RT alone is taxing... but add to the fact that PS5's RT capability is going to be compromised by the low amount of CUs in the PS5 as well as the lower memory bandwidth.  That greatly affects RT performance..  There's a reason why BIG NAVI is going to have well over 2x the CUs as PS5.

Sony will be fine and be smarter/more selective about how they use RT.  But 30fps for those games isn't bad.
