You can't ever have day 1 for big single player first party on PC unless you want to devalue the Playstation console. The reason Xbox Series X buzz is so low among hardcore gamers is because most of us are like "w/e i'll just play these on my PC". Not winning over the enthusiast/hardcore crowd isn't necessarily a death sentence, but it's also not a good look. Sony needs to first make ensure the PS5 has a ton of momentum with year 1 / year 2 exclusives. Maybe after that they can ease off and start putting out Day 1 PC titles. And before you go "buh buh youre a Cow", i'll remind you I bought an Xbox One this gen for exclusives (Halo Anni, Rise of the TR, Halo 5, Forza Horizon 2) If Sony puts all their games on PC day 1, there'd be no reason not to just go all in on PC gaming. it would have literally every single game on the market except Nintendo. I believe what they are doing right now is testing the waters... seeing how their games perform on PC, and seeing how many people are double dipping vs completely new people who don't play on console at all. I think they ARE and WILL very slowly acclimate their fanbase into accepting that PC versions will be released alongside console. Your choice where you want to play. Read the rest of the entire paragraph instead of just the first line. Sony makes the majority of their revenue from PSN. From not only PS Plus but also the huge 30% cuts form EVERY 3rd part game sold. Sony would make more money from a person buying a PS5 with a year of ps plus and buying GTA, RDR, Madden or FIFA and COD, then they would from someone buying a PS5 and 2 single player Sony First party games. That's what you guys continually don't understand. Sony just wants you to use the PSN. If you buy God of War 2 on Steam, they not only have lost the PS5 sale, but also the 30% cut to steam and then revenue from EVERY future game you mightve bought on the PS5 instead of now being able to get it on Steam or another platform cause you don't need a PS5.
