So pretty much confirming that SP games won't do shit for gamepass and need to be GaaS. This is your future lemmings. :mj:

They are accelerating their demise into A.) becoming a third-party publisher, or third-party "service", or B.) Their gaming division not existing 4-6 years from now.

Nintendo was in trouble from Smartphones, the fastest growing industry.  Everybody was telling them to just stop being proprietary with their content.

They did the opposite, they knew that they had to have a successful piece of hardware in order to help stay independent. So they saved their hardware by putting their best software on there, and make it as really good as possible.

Microsoft is sending vibes that are totally opposite. "Yeah we're selling a $500 piece of hardware, but we don't think our games are really $60 worthy, so if you want you can just subscribe on PC or even stream it on your phone."

That creates the opposite of "brand loyalty". That creates "brand cynicism". Just pay for a month of Gamepass whenever a game you really want to play is released. This will cause Microsoft to change their games into becoming more GaaS in structure. That will cause gamers to lose interest. Self-fulfilling prophecy.
