Biden started the Iraqi War? 🤣

Now Biden is a warhawk?   What's that a sleepy warhawk?

This is from 1998

No he didn't start it individually. But he definitely voted for it,and everybody who voted for it is culpable

And he certainly did everything in his power to make sure it happened and publicly worked with the Bush administrations push to authorise military force as Chairmen of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Ohh just what I thought.  That was on the Bush's and their hard on for Saddam

Did you forget The Bush Administration (Both father and son) lied to congress about their intentions for Iraq?

Nov 2005 - While all the actual Warhawks were still championing the war and saying that if you don't support the war you're not American etc..... he owned up to the fact that his trust in Bush was misplaced.

“It was a mistake,” Biden said. “It was a mistake to assume the president would use the authority we gave him properly. … We gave the president the authority to unite the world to isolate Saddam."

" Biden was a consistent critic of the way the Bush administration handled the war: Its failure to exhaust diplomatic solutions, its failure to enlist a more robust group of allies for the war effort, and the lack of a plan for reconstruction of Iraq. Some of his comments proved to be quite prescient, including his warnings about the likely higher-than-expected cost and length of the war, and the complexity of “winning the peace” once Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein’s regime was toppled."

You realise both can be wrong, right? And he switched stances AFTER the immense backlash and unpopularity of the war. Democrats were running their campaigns at the time as anti Iraq war

He doesn't get points for switching his stance well after the damage was done and towing the party line

Must be nice to have rose tinted glasses to try to change what was the American people's stance on the war back then.

Timeline

Pre 9/11.... 64% said that the U.S. should have removed Saddam at the end of the Gulf War.

May 2003... A Gallup poll concluded that 79% of Americans thought the Iraq War was justified.

Bush lied to the American people and to congress and America was on board.  79% of the country was for the war...

As things played out AFTER the war portion was completed and Bush started fucking up.... that's when Biden spoke about being wrong with putting his trust in Bush to handle it properly. (2005)

It was in 2006 when the public fully turned on Bush AFTER they saw what a mess he made.

Bush should be held accountable for lying to Congress and the American public about his intentions in Iraq.

Seems like a fair statement. Not every latino is part of the same ethnic group or country. So?

Neither are black people
