@Twinblade, if you've got any questions, just bump the thread and I'll see if I can answer it.     As you may have heard; I kinda like these games.

Troy TW is LIVE

Game runs amazingly well, given that 60 FPS isn't really needs for a strategy game where you spend most your time zoomed out to see the entire battle field.

I never dipped below 30FPS, and that's with everything to Ultra (or High if that's the highest setting) ironically, you could turn down a few features, and most likely wouldn't notice it.

Remnant sucks....at least when playing by yourself. Its so aimless with big sparse environments filled with nothing but repetitive enemy encounters. Then theres the fact that the main weapon the mid range class uses is a rifle that has to be reloaded every 2 shots. Who in the world thought that it would be fun to have a gun that constantly needs to be reloaded as your primary weapon in a shooting focused game?

It tries so hard to be the Souls games but with guns and fails miserably at it....

I played like 3 hours of Fall Guys with my buddy, so most of night after work went to serious endeavours. :face:

I started with Odysseus (classified as a hard start) and I'm about 6 turns in so far; and I must say... Boy am I glad I understand the concept of Total War games, because there is a lot going on here! :D

Far too early to lay down any real impressions, other than the graphics and performance which are top-notch here. Minimal load into a campaign, quick end turn phases - where the AI makes their respective moves & actions; and fast loads into, and out of, battles.

Battles work as you would imagine: Flanking works best with fast, amour-piercing units; falling back and focus firing can prove deadly, and the General/Hero are difference makers on the battlefield. It looks like there's very limited cavalry options, but given the time, and region, that was expected.

I would like to get to the more advanced units to see how much better they become throughout the game. From what little I've seen in the game previews there are some incredibly powerful and armoured units available depending on your faction and development level.
