The 10 gigs of RAM is an eyesore in otherwise fairly scalable specs.

1080p/1440p requires much less RAM than 4K.  They can scale back textures as well.  Game design-wise they should be capable of the same things because the SSD speed is the same as well as the CPU.

Some devs are understandably bummed because it means more work.. but it should scale well enough with visual differences alone.

Nah they'll go make PS5/X as main systems and then shit out some functional S port that isn't pure trash.

There will definitely be games that need to be scaled back significantly. The memory would be a huge issue for something like Battlefield. Imagine if they planned on having 100 player battles and maps but then as a result of the Series S they had to scale everything back down and go back to 64 players across all the platforms.

This is going to be very problematic.

S is way too insignificant overall when there is PS5, X and PC to consider. PS5 will steamroll S even with the price difference, and the XBox crowd that will care about visuals will be on the  X. If it was like 70% of the overall console market it would be true, it's not.

So unless they start selling two separate versions of the game, Series X is going to be stuck with the assets possible on the Series S version

No it wont lmao.  Series S will be stuck with lower quality assets.  That's it.

MS isn't going to allow games that release on X to not be compatible with S, that would make for a huge clusterfuck for consumers. Any X game will need to automatically be compatible with S, and vice versa.

4 Tf doesn't matter :awww:

It's already hilarious to me seeing sheep in this thread.  I mean, the ones who say X,Y, and Z are possible on Switch "they just have to downgrade the gfx"... but then they cant seem to understand how this will work :tom:
