New AMD Agesa Combo V2 1.0.8.1 update apparently reduces intercore latency of Ryzen CPUs, improving performance of 3000 series CPUs

That's a pretty huge 14% reduction in latency.  The article also says with a 3950x they're seeing 3-7% performance improvement.. but stress that it's still speculative until more people can test.

 

Remember new Ryzen owners out there... make sure you update your BIOSes as there've been LOTS of improvements to Ryzen in all areas since those boards likely released.
