jehurey 3,230 Posted September 22, 2020 Share Posted September 22, 2020 The thing is, if their hardware business goes up in smoke.........there's no value is selling off the Xbox Gaming division. But if they studios, and they become more oriented in "delivering software" then if the Xbox Game division were to be something they don't want to continue anymore, they have something that can retain its value: gaming IPs and studios. All signs point to them becoming a third-party publisher. Because if they wanted to do this to save their hardware, they would've done it well before the beginning of the next-gen. All of these moves don't bear fruit for Xbox until 2-3 years later, when the Playstation has already run away with it. They're trying to buy their way into other platforms by having so many gaming IPs, that Sony has to listen to them about allowing Xbox games onto the platform. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
