Future Bethesda Softworks games will be “either first or better or best” on Xbox and PC, according to Xbox chief executive officer Tim Stuart.

“We don’t have intentions of just pulling all of Bethesda content out of Sony or Nintendo or otherwise,” Stuart said during the Jefferies Interactive Entertainment Virtual Conference on November 12, as transcribed by Seeking Alpha. “But what we want is, we want that content, in the long run, to be either first or better or best or pick your differentiated experience, on our platforms. We will want Bethesda content to show up the best as—on our platforms.”

Stuart later followed up, “I’m not announcing pulling content from platforms one way or the other. But I suspect you’ll continue to see us shift towards a first or better or best approach on our platforms.”

Another multiplat gutter deal from Conman Spencer.

Bethesda IS MS though

they probably have stipulations and bonuses that for the head people at bethesda studios should they achieve certain revenue targets.

its in their interests to sell as many copies and make as much money as possible, because they will probably get a cut of it on the back-end.

if they worked a flat and fixed salary, I don't think there would've been a separation in bethesda studio games being published differently than the other Zenimax IPs.  But, the fact that there is clearly implies that Todd Howard and his people have their own rules separate from all the other development teams.

Todd Howard is definitely going to push for Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 and future Fallout games to be multiplats, including Playstation.

And that is coming from the CFO. The guy who is specifically in charge of the money, and would've approved the $7.5 billion dollar purchase.

Actually, for a Chief Financial Officer to speak publicly about management decisions, this is quite odd. He's seemingly talking over Phil Spencer's authority, here.
