Hermits a few years ago: 'wow, check out this $600 PC that blows away consoles!'   Hermits now: 'Your $1200 PC sux newb. Should have refinanced your house and spent $252589 instead.'

Getting for PS5. PC gaming is overrated and overpriced.

lmao consoles. Choose between Ray Tracing or 60fps for 8 years. Enjoy the bottom of the barrel, twinblade; it'll match your intellect

I can barely read that image.

I'm surprised they actually have different CPU model requirements between High and Ultra, you rarely ever see that happen. Which means that there is something that produces additional CPU workload if you turn up every setting to its max. (i.e. NPC crowd size)

So that's nice.

I hope I don't need to buy that Dolby Atmos app from the WIndows Store in order to output lossless Dolby Atmos from my video card's HDMI 2.1 port to my LG OLED, which will go out to my Denon AVR via eARC.

I don't think I will, that app is meant for simulating Atmos through headphones.  I hope I won't get any audio lag.

Says the guy that wasted $200+ on a shit GPU just to tide him over until he can get something better...

Why would you do that if your console was enough?

Well I actually had low expectations for next gen consoles until I got a PS5 and realized that it made PC irrelevant :lul: Can't wait to play Cyberpunk at 4K with ray tracing for a fraction of the price as a PC that can do the same  :juggle:

I guess that means you're not going to be buying another GPU then, right? :hest:

It really is helpful that the PS5 will have its own exclusives that will be fantastic, and it will be the better console for multiplats.

And the way I will use that will be for multiplats that I don't ideally want to invest much to play on PC.

Like, for example a 12 hour Jedi Order sequel from EA. I'm not gonna pay $30-$40 for that, when I can just rent it and play it quickly on a PS5 soon after the game launches.

There may be a handful of multiplats that don't initially arrive on PC, so there's the PS5 for that.

All the other multiplat games, that are longer and more involved, I can get those on PC.

You still need that app to output Atmos from PC to a receiver.   But if I remember correctly the theater version of the app is free,  because the receiver company already payed the ATMOS licensing fees

Nvidia released another RTX video.

Definitely see a bit more traffic on the roads than the Xbox versions.

Can't wait to see the official comparisons where there will be almost no discernible difference, except the PC footage comes from $2000 equipment while the console footage was captured from $500 hardware.
