After spending months telling us Sony was the one that wasn't ready, it turns out that it was MS who wasn't ready for next gen.    Zero next gen games and "teh tools" . lmfao

I don't think I've seen a faction get raped as hard as lemmings. Maybe Sega fanboys, but at least the Dreamcast had exclusive titles.

The power/performance difference is sooo small this gen things seem like they could swing either way with a patch. We are just starting the new gen and it's already getting a bit tiring with all the gloating and teasing from both sides over minor advantages. Jesus.

Yea.  Thing to remember is these games are not built from the ground up for either console.

Both versions of AC:V are the bare minimum that Ubisoft could have done.  Probably as quick of a port job as you can imagine.

Still hilarious that both consoles are dropping under 1440p.. and Series X drops to 1188p just to keep 60 :tom:

1440p is a fine resolution with temporal upscaling, but dropping below 1440p is really bad news for next=gen.

The engine used for this game is completely outdated.  It's not a barometer at all of next generation capability.

PS5 does not drop below 1440p

Yes it does.

PS5 in Performance Mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest native resolution found being 3840x2160 and the lowest native resolution found being approximately 2432x1368.

Their first analysis said the lowest resolution they counted on PS5 was 1440p, and nothing has changed here

So where are you getting sub 1440p from?

I was adding it as you typed your post.

VGtech tested the patch

PS5 drops framerate to keep a still terrible <1440p resolution :smilecry:

They said the frame rate is basically the same it was pre-patch while maintaining a higher resolution than Series X.

Series X gets a slightly better frame rate now because the resolution drops all the way to 1080p....lmfao.
