VGC: PS5 is biggest console launch ever in UK

I think core gamers and even casuals alike were ready for new hardware. The PS4 is starting to get real old at this point, it did came out in 2013.

 

Plus its BC with PS4 games, making it even more attractive.

Only p[ity is the SSDs help with loading but because games aren't optimised for SSDs we don't really a big improvement in loading times like we should.

Yeah I wished BC had a bigger impact, especially for PSVR games. Although a few games do run far better on PS5, but they are exceptions, not the rule.

 

Still, just having BC is a good thing.

And it wasn't like the PS4/Xbox One launched as power houses either. The GPUs weren't anything exciting and the CPUs were garbage right out of the gate.
