That photo may not be representative of ray-tracing, because they may have it where ray-tracing is only done for nearby objects, and past a certain distance, regular screen-space reflections are used.

 

That screenshot comparison is specifically taken from a distance.

 

But, there still is a noticeable difference, especially if you look at the walls and ceiling.  If you're just looking at the floor, you're probably thinking that there's not much difference.

Nvidia and CDPR are laughing all the way to the bank. My bro has a 3080 and says it runs like complete trash and has had to turn off RTX. WTF WAS THE POINT OF BUYING THESE CARDS

First impressions with the game.

I don't know if it is spoilers but you have three choices to start at the beginning of the game. I started corpo.

Anyways, game looks soft. I don't believe it's running at 4k on One X.

Good thing though my One X is dead silent so that's a plus.

I have been doing office conversations. I like the dialogue so far.

yeah I don’t have to worry about their garbage implementation of ray tracing  the screeenspace reflections are good enough and don’t completely destroy the performance.

My GoG install is showing 59.5 GB, and I even had it check for updates, and they didn't have any.

 

So let's hope its the fully patched version.

 

This thread has now OFFICIALLY begun.

 

By the way, let me know if there's any possible reason to play with controller. But I'll start out with a keyboard to see if it feels good.
