It's basically confirmed now

Yeah Hollow Knight gets a lot of it's length from unnecessarily lengthy traversal sections and a bit of padding. Especially from like the half to 3/4 mark of the game. Really the only flaw of the game

That's what I said about Metroid Prime trilogy the last 18 directs.

Mostly likely a shadow drop tomorrow :aitch:

The best Metroidvania game/series out there.

Definitely the best of the modern era.

I dunno if I'd go as far to say most likely a shadow drop though.

Bro I'm talking about right now...lol

I didn't say best of all time (that would be Super Metroid)

Oh ok gotcha.  Yea, it's the best out of the modern ones, with Ori right behind I'd say.

SM is also acceptable :aitch:

Ori 2 is good, but honestly I would have preferred if they didn't copy Hollow Knight so closely for the sequel (the weapons, systems and mechanics)..... it felt to samey.

Where as part 1 was unique.  Part 2 was like Ori's take on Hollow Knight.

Yea, I think innovation with certain mechanics/weapons in these style of games is hard to come by these days.  I agree that Ori 2 basically copied a lot of the same ideas others have done and basically just expanded on the first game in the typical way you'd expect them to.

They're both great games though, and despite being buggy and having performance issues in the beginning, Ori is typically a well polished, high quality indie game... much like Hollow Knight.

We'll have to wait and see what Silksong is like... hopefully not long now :glad:
