Playstation Tablet 1,865
Dragon Quest XI S just launched on PS4. It's 30 bucks, Switch version is 50-60 dollars. This shit applies to 90 percent of games on Switch. It's pure bullshit.
Hot Sauce 2,841
Blame the people that are willing to pay that price since it doesn't seem to hurt sales.

DQXIS launched on Switch at 49.99 DQXI launched on PS4 at 59.99 DQXIs included tons of improvements of over the vanilla version. Instead of releasing the update as DLC on PS4, Square released another seperate version of the game on PS4. DQXI owners who paid $59.99 on PS4 cannot upgrade to DQXIS.... instead you have to purchase the game again if you want DQXIs at $39.99. Any DQXI owner on PS4 who upgraded to the S version basically paid 100 dollars. Where as on Switch you paid 50 from jump and that's it. That has to at least be vat-sized. DQ11S launched at $60 on the Switch and $40 on the PS4. The Switch version is currently $50 and the PS4 version is currently still $40. And while DQ11 did launch at $60 on the PS4, by the time DQIIS launched on the Switch two years later, it was down to $30 or less. And the word is spelled misinformation, you doofus. 1

We're talking about scenarios specifically to DQXI. You said all that and yet still if you bought Vanilla DQXI on PS4 you cannot upgrade and have to purchase the game again to play DQXIS 😂🤣 Edited December 24, 2020 by Goukosan

54212 432
ARMs, an under-performing 2017 launch game, is still $60. Compare that to Sony or MS first-party pricing over time. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/arms-nintendo-switch/5721505.p?skuId=5721505 The one upside is that Ninty physical copies hold and increase their value better. I bought the Yomawari collection on the Switch and it's already up over $150 for an open copy on eBay. Insane.
