Aside from gaming, I also do 3D animation and some graphic design. Looking to get either duel monitors, or one wide monitor. What's your input?

Thats a good question. Im curious myself because i've been progressively learning more and more when it comes to 3D and am trying to figure out the best workflow.

I feel like on paper dual monitors could be better because you could have your viewport on one monitor, and then a materials/shading window on the other so It would be easier to see the changes you're making.

I do 2D animation myself, and HolyAx dos animation too. I think if we put our minds to it, we could easily have a team of SW vets make a game or a short animation

Oh and triple monitors (a third monitor hooked on the wall and sitting above the other two) is a lot of pros' workflow. So definitely go for dual, it will be pace-changing.

Im trying to shop for a new monitor but its a pain. There are so many different configurations and features so its hard to find one that matches your needs. Im looking to at least match my current one

27 inches

1440P

IPS Panel

G-Sync

120hz+

But I want to throw in HDR and thats where things get tricky. I can't seem to find a monitor with HDR and the rest of those features in my budget (aiming for $500-$600).

2 27" 4k monitors is probably a better for productivity (being able to make one vertical, use 1 for gaming exclusively while the other has work, and better resolution).

One 49" Ultrawide looks cooler/neater.

Dude I am completely down for that. I know a bit of UE4 so we could use that as the base engine. We also have enough artists/animators to cover those areas, and theres even some folks here who know audio/sound design.
