Google shutting down in house studios responsible for Stadia games

Damn. Clearly the first step before they can Stadia altogether. Shame because the tech is really neat.

 

No, they've realized how hard it is to build up a first party development studio from scratch and decided to make Stadia a platform that only streams 3rd party games.

The platform isn't as successful as they hoped so they're cutting the fat. Its not a good sign no matter how you look at it.

Yea because they realized you can't just become a first party development studio out of thin air. So they're focusing on 3rd parties alone now.   The other option would have been to start buying up studios guess they didn't want to do that.
