Maybe I'd mess around with the first level to see how cleanly I could get through it. I wouldn't force myself to play through a whole game of cheap game design. I love the games but also hate when games are hard for no reason or even worse, hard because it's made cheap by design its obnoxious. Reading the review they clearly state they flopped it because it is a ridiculously hard game, too hard to enjoy from their perspective. It's definitely not for everyone and much less accessible than a modern game so I can see where the reviewer is coming from that aspect.
