well, if you're paying for streaming services, you're probably paying more money annually. And none of that content is using your home theater hardware to its fullest because streaming content will always be using compressed audio codecs.

 

but not only that, if you end up getting a 4K tv at some point during the next few years, that alone should've been a reason to pony up more money for the better console.

I have a 4k tv. It's just 60hz though.  I literally bought this Yamaha system with Mission speakers for 100 bucks off Facebook marketplace lol. It's worth almost 2 grand, the lady had no idea what it was worth 😄.

So basically I don't care if I'm not getting 100% out of it. 90% is enough.
