Sony already invested the money into upgrading the MLB The Show game engine for next-gen development.

 

If they can't release the game on the PS5, they were going to lose money.

 

So they had MLB do the ports, so that they can release it on PS5.

Unless you can prove that Sony's studio has an Xbox development kit, Sony never touched the Xbox version.

 

So no....MLB is the reason this game exist on Xbox.

Nope.  MLB told Sony... this game releases on Xbox.. or it doesn't release on PS.

 

And Sony did what they were fucking TOLD.  

 

So yea, The PS version existing is completely dependent on it existing on Xbox.  MLB said so
