NHL is great imo. It’s been great for years with minimal changes though, so If you weren’t a fan a few years ago you probably wouldn’t be now.. but def one of my faves.

yeah NHL is solid, my lack of interest is more a result of no changes...I played every year from like 08-12.

I know it's not a real sport, but it's the only thing I ever watched religiously.

 

Oh wait, you mean games. Yeah, wrestling games too. I also liked the Hot Shot Golf series and I played some of Fight Night boxing games. Don't care much about realistic sports games in general though. I prefer arcade sport games.

The Smackdown series was amazing but the WWE 2K franchise is pretty fucking boring, not only because WWE itself isn't as good as it was during the attitude era but making wrestling games too realistic just made the game less fun.

Smackdown 2: Know Your Role was a lot of fun in multiplayer.  It helped having a decent wrestling roster from top to bottom back then too.  I hear Here Comes the Pain is the best Smackdown game although I've never tried it.

If it's well done... I'd take a good Snowboarding/Skiing/Snowmobiling game over all the other ones.  SSX and Sled Storm

Nowadays, nothing. But back in the day the best sports games were THPS, SSX and PES4. Smackdown series was amazing also.

Any arcade-y sports game can be fun. Sims are fucking brutally unfun.
