I hope Russ goes off and Celtics get beat tonight.

Should still work, Streameast [dot] live has also been great as of late, very few sputters, and solid bitrate quality

about that

From champs to first round exit.

Lakers :snoop:

Nah, they’re healthy now and have been playing well the last two games. They poised for a repeat run. :whew:

As long as the Clippers don’t make the WCF again, I’ll be happy. :kaz:

Correction Bubble Champs :cmpunk1:

You mean on a neutral court as opposed to having home court the entire time which made it more difficult? :sass1:

no travel to others cities, zero jet lag, more days off between games because of zero travel = more rest, not all players agreed/teams to play in the bubble aka less competition.

The less rest thing is false as they played every other day in the bubble versus the 2-3 days that might come with travel. :reg:

Keep downplaying it, the Lakers earned that title. :wata:

Yes they earned the Bubble championship.  They deserved the championship that was in that bubble.

but let's not pretend that the bubble was the same or harder than the non bubble playoffs where travel, away crowds and away arenas play a huge role... and where available superstars do not sit out the entire playoffs in protest of the bubble.

there were less days off between games because of no travel, not more.

they played basically every other day the whole playoffs, which isnt normal except for the conference finals (so the nba can show 1 game every day).

normally there are tons of off days in the early rounds because tv schedules have to show like 8 games. the nba playoffs take the longest for a reason.

except the lakers just played an 80 game season outside the bubble.............and they're clearly not succeeding all that well.

The Lakers were first in the West and 2nd in the league last season before covid hit one month before playoffs and were the clear favorites to win the championship by experts.

If anything, this season is more of an outlier considering the Lakers had no time to rest after they won the championship and had to immediately return for another full season. :reg:

Also both LeBron and AD have been out 30+ games each and their PG Schroeder has gone under Covid precautions twice. They’ve been super injured all year and are now finally getting healthy. With a full roster and a deep bench they’re poised to make another deep run in the playoffs. Seriously, every time Lebron has made a postseason his team has never not made the finals. That’s pretty incredible in itself.

Outlier?

Missed the playoffs two years ago.

Championship in the Bubble.

3 games away from being the 8th or 9th seed this year. (out the playoffs in a regular season without the play in)

Seems to be like the Bubble year was the outlier :cmpunk1:

LOL, there were literally instances in which the refs just allowed Lakers to have do-overs instead of taking the possession away from them.

Lebron literally grabbed the ball out of bounds, he was to throw it inbounds. It actually slips and BOUNCES out in front of him, inbounds, and he reaches for it and freezes because he knows he's not supposed to touch it (So, he KNOWS that what just happened), the ball starts rolling over to a Warriors player who is going to pick it up.

The ref picks up the ball, and just gives it back to Lebron to throw it inbounds "correctly" a second time around.

And then Anthony Davis clearly is placing is entire arm on Steph's body to slow him down as he's trying to break free to grab the ball for the last possession of the game.
