Isn't the base model no longer in production?

 

I thought I remembered hearing that Nvidia isn't producing those chips anymore... which is probably why this Switch Pro is happening in the first place.

The launch base model was replaced with a newer model that has a smaller X1 that's still being produced.... I was referring to the new base model that's currently out there.

No, I mean Nvidia ending the Tegra X1 production altogether.

What Nintendo has been selling is the stockpile that they've accumulated, and that's expected to last them until the new PRO console arrives.

The Switch lite uses that same chip and the lite is staying in production while the base model will be phased out according to article.
