I see they still have a seaweed problem.. is that it? no, these spots along the west side of cozumel island are pretty great. the seaweed is hitting coasts that face the atlantic. my mistake was wanting to make my cozumel side-visit just a day trip. next time, I'll definitely book a multi-day trip to get more out of it.
