Aside from any other issues, it's just too big and heavy for a handheld.

And Switch's joycons are cramped and uncomfortable to use.

The Deck is a full fledged PC.

Steam Deck's controls are worse. If you're using the d-pad or face buttons, you have to hold your thumbs nearly parallel to your palms.

It's going to be just fine.

There's people who like smaller phones.. and there's people who like big phones...

This is no different.  But the fact that you guys are sitting here saying one is butt ugly and the other is sleek... just makes me laugh.

Nah.  They're almost certainly better than the Switch.

Small shitty analog nubs which drift after a short time..

literal buttons for a d-pad..

crappy feeling tiny buttons..

LMAO no... sorry dude.

You're changing the subject from comfort. And you can get a left-side joy-con with a d-pad for little cost.

The placement and size of the buttons is comfort...

Drift and the lack of a dedicated d-pad out-of-the-box aren't, and the size of the buttons is reaching given the SD's buttons are only 1 or 2mm larger in diameter.

And with PC nerds little T-Rex arms, they aren't going to be hold it up for more than 15 minutes given its weight.

yeah, it's definitely not a looker, but it's a pretty impressive piece of hardware.

Functionality >>>

If you gave people the chance to buy a Switch like it is, or with bigger Joycons with more robust buttons and an actual dpad and better analog sticks, they'd take it overwhelminly.

which could work if the palms of your hands to move inward

but the handheld is not designed like this

even the analog sticks are up high, and for what reason?

Because they want to KEEP their gimmick track pad idea alive.

They released this:

And nobody gave a shit about its main gimmick. The only people still using it are currently playing Heroes of Might & Magic 7.

So now they've compromised the REAL CONTROLS of their $400 device in order to keep a gimmick control system alive that nobody cared about the first time around.
