my sister is giving birth to my niece today. I'm so excited. I won't see her for weeks in person tho due to covid    I mean as a precaution, no one has covid. but still

My good friend and his wife just had a child in late July, she said that there was a subreddit thread that should found very helpful because all of those people posting in that thread were also experiencing just having a baby, and they posted alot of tips or relevant questions that many people don't ask or even know to ask until that particular moment that they are experiencing it with their newborn.

 

She didn't tell me what the name of that subreddit is, but its basically like a support group of other people who are experiencing the same things at the same time, and she found it to be very helpful resource, because she can find answers to a problem quickly.

 

For their baby shower, in addition to regular baby stuff, I bought them a Nine Inch Nails onesie, bought them a 6-months size because buying an new born onesie isn't going to last very long before its outgrown:
