damn, sorry to hear that bro. what ended up fixing it?

Breaking down to the lowest possible point and rebuilding myself slowly by tackling all the stuff that bothered me. The only way is up when you reach the absolute bottom 🤷‍♂️

Working out is also a life saver, everyone should start with that when they see no exit.

At 37 I don't feel I wasted my life.

Time has flown by.   I remember when I used to think of my grad year 2002 as just being yesterday, it's almost 20 years now.  Yikes!

Then I look at the folks older than us have gotten even older.

The snot snoze Gen-Z tweens who think Baby Boomers are the oldest generation.  Having no idea of the Silent Generation that is passing before our very eyes.

So I guess you as I get older I get more concerned about the folks who are leaving us.

Back in 2002 everyone I liked in the music biz were alive and kicking, fast forward to 2021 so many are gone.

I don't know if I have many major regrets per se, more of a general curiosity of how things might have gone differently if I made different decisions.  I have found the transition from education to work pretty tough though.  When I would hear people say that the hard work starts now when you start working, I laughed it off.  Turns out it wasn't a joke.  I think I do regret not finding the motivation to pursue the ACCA Chartered Certified qualification though.  That's something I'm going to try and focus on soon.  Granted, there's no guarantee that I will get it but it only takes 4 exams to pass so its worth a shot.  I'm convinced having aims and goals helps keep some people on the straight and narrow (maybe even yours truly).

Im in my 30s now. Crazy to think I was chatting with you guys when I was in high school. Where does the time go? Fuck.

Anyways, Im ok with where my life is at. I have an apartment about 20 minutes from the beach, and a career in 3D animation and even worked on a VR app that was unfortunately scrapped. But it pays good working for my current company. Better than Home Depot. But I do miss my home depot co workers.

i still see them. We went to a Barcade last night, then tacos and had a 12 pack while chilling on a bridge overlooking the city. Til’ 4am. So I can still kick it.

As for my love life. Shit fell apart years ago. Im trying to get back in but the dating scene is so different now. I was never big on the tinder scene. Really wanna just meet a chick in her late 20s/early 30s. The pandemic was definitely a setback on my social life. Especially getting older and seeing my little brothers getting engaged.

job sounds good, shame you cant socialise with the old workers 🙂  yeh not into apps, rather go out, its a conundrum

I wish I did something about my depression sooner, it stole a lot of years and opportunities out of my life and I pushed away a lot of people because of it

i know, i had a bad start and just wasted alot of time,  but now i realise that everybody has issues, so  just crack on.

If you can afford to pay for it and have the time why not 🙂

can't complain, I got a plan and clear goals that are achievable. my biggest goal is to move to the border of my hometown and get a house with a big yard and then getting a few dogs and cats.

just need to pay off some debt first. probably fall in love down the road too and if not my true love is always there for me: vidja :heatrt:

No regrets really, not any real ones. I have everything I could've ever dreamed of, at an earlier age I probably could've expected and yet the feeling of getting here felt so much more alive then the feeling of being here. It's very hard to explain and I have zero right to complain about anything but there is just something about the journey, regardless of what it is and how hard it can be that you will always look back on fondly.

Life is not about me anymore, hasn't been for a few years (kids), they get 100% of me and I'd have it no other way, but there is a definite weight to life now that isn't always easy to carry.
