The iphone definitely has a better lifetime than android and the software still feels fresh and responsive years on but the walled garden and proprietary bs kills it for me. Fair enough, I don’t mind the walled garden because my phone already does everything I need it to. If apple allowed outside downloads I doubt there would be anything I would even download. Yeah I mean you can probably still get 2-3 years out of it with no issue. I upgrade because I do it for a minimum, I bought my 12 pro max and traded it in for the 13 which is fully paid off now after using some Best Buy rewards. I just resold my 12 pro max (1100$) for 800 to Best Buy. samsung phones lose 50% of value the day they’re purchased.
