Jim "Secret Agent" Ryan spelling it out very clearly for the cows

Recommended Posts

Right from the man himself.  Jim Ryan wants "Playstation" to be more than "a platform"...  He wants Playstation to be everywhere.

Cows... he's telegraphing their future intentions... it's up to you whether you want to stick your fingers in your ears and scream like a baby until it happens... but Sony's ambitions are far greater than what a single console platform can provide them.

The guy literally say's it frustrates him that their games are limited by their hardware :bena: :reg:

I said Sony would release a bug AAA PS5/PC game day and date by the end of the PS5 gen, and I'm sticking to it.

this kind of BS is not tolerated on PlayStation.

25 years (quarter of a century) + of giving gamers want they want. this is not a stupid company. they know console gamers will not tolerate no exclusives. the legacy of the brand will never allow this to happen.

They're smart enough to know that you have no other place to go.  Nobody is going to be a Nintendo only gamer :geese:

Bend over BC... :hehe:

Well, in that case we know he won't do what Phil Spencer is doing, and becoming a multiplatform publisher.

Because Phil Spencer sure as hell isn't reaching hundreds of millions of people with his strategy. Not paying customers.

They want Playstation to be a huge brand. Big push into movies and tv shows, Playstation Studios brand unification of first party IPs, stepping into PC market and also the biggest market of all being phones.

They need to do something really smart.

Like say, putting PS1, PS2, and maybe some sort of PS3 emulation inside their Sony TVs, and keeping a legacy PSN store open for people to buy games and load them directly into their tvs.

Or having PSnow functionality directly built into a Sony TV, and maybe even have a legacy PS1/PS2 controller connector built into the tv, or introduce a legacy Playstation controller that plays PS1/2/3 games.
