Many people have already fallen off of the MP thanks to its lack of content and awful progression, and the campaign strips out some of the best parts of the series to replace them with a bland open world and a bunch of copy paste dungeons. BF2042 is only getting hammered because of its bugginess and many people (even those who enjoy it) refuse to acknowledge the good things it does because of the state it launched in.
