I like all the drama about Twitter not selling to Musk within hours of his out of nowhere hostile takeover attempt but also it's prudent for Musk to take his time and properly establish if this purchase is in his best interest.

No, they didn't mislead at all.

For starters, Elon specifically said that he was buying Twitter to FIX the bot problem.

 

And secondly, he and his lawyers are not claiming that Twitter lied.

 

Look at their language.

 

They are saying that Twitter gave them all of this information........and they are unable to verify anything through the data.

 

So, they opened up the firehose of information, and Elon can't sift through the data to determine what is a bot and what isn't.

He's still obligated to purchase the company.  The point of the my posts was that Twitter accepted the deal and it was as good as done as far as they were concerned.  Jerky acted like Musk coming up with the money was what was going to be the issue potentially preventing it.... but it wasn't.  Musk backing out like a bitch at the last minute was his own choice.
