Tears of the Cows 1,206 Posted May 3, 2022 Share Posted May 3, 2022 No LFC below 48 fps Games can be patched with specific VRR features Unsupported mode similar to Boost Mode for PS4 Pro for most PS5 Software (doesn’t work for GT7 or HFW) Doesnt support PS4 Software (Not required for most PS4 Titles) Not recommended to turn it on All the time, Full Array Local Dimming disabled on LCD TVs when VRR is on (loss in contrast), Black Frame Insertion is disabled during VRR VRR reduces latency for Vsync Insomniac implements their own LFC in Fidelity mode for their games, doesnt seem like a system wide feature FPS shown by TVs aren’t correct a lot of times, doesn’t account for LFC etc VRR fixes all issues with Ghostwire Tokyo I’m HFR modes, in Fidelity mode FPS is below 48 FPS and noLFC implementation to fix it DMCV works great as it’s a patched game but no LFC implemented, VRR doesn’t work good on Xbox for some reason Tales of arise VRR cleans up the dips in FPS in performance mode, without LFC fidelity mode is not supported Stranger of Paradise better with VRR but not perfect Deathloop has 120 FPS mode now with unlocked FPS with VRR, but Camera movement is broken(looks juddery), this problem is also present in Dishonored 2 Elden ring sort of fixed, FPS dips below 48 and no LFC present but on PS5 performance mode most of the time 48 fps, Quality mode is unusable with VRR Nioh 2 VRR not perfect, probably due to animation issues with variable framerate Returnal is perfect for VRR (not patched), only dips into 50 FPS during boss fights, VRR fixes that What DF wants from Sony in the future x System wide LFC x per game profiles x do not force ALLM, needs a toggle x 1440p output Most limited VRR implementation out of PS, Xbox and PC Quote Link to post Share on other sites

You have to be straight up retarded to play multiplats (99% of games) on PS5. Stick with using it on the boring movie games designed for non-gamer casual soccer moms.
