Release new games on PlayStation first, once it reaches its sales threshold etc.. Port it to PC and reap the benefits of double dippers + the PC only crowd. That's gravy on top. Remember MS did day and date with PC because their games weren't selling well on Xbox. Sony doesn't have that problem. Exactly this. Their strategy has been so clear. New major SP titles will be day 1 PS5 exclusive. That is where their core ecosystem is. That is where they want their customers, purchasing things through PSN. Then release older games in a very specific order to milk an already dry cow and somehow generate millions more revenue from them while also timing their release prior to future sequels which will be PS5 exclusives (Horizon before Forbidden West, GoW before Ragnarok, now SM/Miles prior to SM2). It's a very intentional and brilliant strategy. They get all the benefits of releasing on PC plus double dippers from the console space without losing pretty much anything. Who hasn't already got Days Gone, Horizon, GoW, SM, etc on a PS4 that was planning to get one for them lol. Releasing Day 1 for these huge SP titles has more negatives than positives. You lose the exclusive reason to get a PS5, you lose double dippers, you lose sales exclusively on PSN where you generate more revenue and you don't make that up with PC sales. Now going forward they clearly have a part of their business that they are dedicating to live service games. These are the titles that they should and hopefully will release day and date on PC (if not other systems also). Live service games live and die by user count, only thing that matters. Dreams was the first game that should've been Day 1 on PC also.

Reminds me of alot of the criticism for the codec conversations in MGS Twin Snakes being the same script. Lets make the game more realistic while Elle sings and dances in front of enemies and they're completely oblivious to her prescence I dont normally complain about realism in games but this game required you to play along and pretend and it was retarded. It can't be that he's defending PlayStation against losing exclusives, can it?

What a dumb take....Steam Deck or any handheld PC will be lucky to break 5 million (Valve hasn't released official numbers but a google search maxes out a 1.5 million) Switch has sold over 100m units. Nintendo isn't going anywhere even though you've been saying this since early 2000s.

And it's not just about Valve's hardware. It's about handheld x86 PCs as a permanent category which will constantly improve on a yearly basis. Nintendo will have to find another gimmick. And we're talking about regular Steam fanboys. When it comes to ANY piece of hardware.............Steam can always sell about half a million units to their regular fanboys who would buy a plastic container with shit in it, if the container had a steam logo. Handheld PCs are here to stay and you may as well stay laptops are a niche item for techies Nintendo has plenty of failed gimmicks, and as usual Sheep fall back in the kind of moronic sales logic like you're a pedo funko pop collector. There's a reason everyone prefers to play Nintendo games with an emulator. Edited June 10, 2022 by sugarhigh

There's a reason everyone prefers to play Nintendo games with an emulator. Everyone he says when Switch has outsold everything apart from PS2 and DS at this point. Sales are the best gauge of popularity whether you like to admit it or not. But since you've been arguing that point since PSP days, there's zero reason to put effort into this argument.
