Holy crap, how long is the dualsense supposed to be left charging?

Recommended Posts

Nearly one hour and a half and 75% charged.

Damn, gaming companies need to improve their battery tech.

Say all the shit that you want about MS 2AAs ancient battery tech but is reliable, quick and easy to fix.

These new controllers should last 5 hour tops and charge in less than an hour.

Shit, my  2 year old Pixel charges in 45 minutes from 0%.

Calling having to buy AAs batteries a reliable method. :tom:

I use a play and charge, but either way.. AA batteries on Xbox last 30+ hours. PS5s controller lasts like 5 hours at most, and that’s for games that don’t use any of its “advanced” features.

Lmfao at paying extra standard features like a rechargeable battery.

The play and charge kit takes 4 hrs to charge... Yiikkkkes

dude you sit like directly in front of your screen anyway just plug it in and play oldschool style.

but I don't judge you if you think the AA battery system for shitbox is solid because you never use that controller anyway :kaz:

So?? 4 hours of charge time for 30 hours…. Vs 3 hours of charge for 5?

i assume you won’t respond..  because how could you? :D didn’t you use to argue for removable batteries on phones?

your ps5 controller won’t last a hour in 3 years time.

The way I have it set up is like really close to both of my consoles, so yeah, it will be wired.

Is that charging through the console itself?

I charge my Dualsense with my phone charger and I don't really notice it taking much longer than anything else.

I have a million controllers though and have no issues playing with any other controller until the other ones are charged anyway.

Holy shit, GT7 feels like shit with the dualsense.

The input is so much smoother with wheel.

lol what does that have to do with anything I said? :D

I know, lol

I was a dumbass, didn't push the wire fully in.

That's why it was sitting on 75% for like an hour.

Anyways, I left it charging, went out to do some errands and it was fully charged.

So?

You have to pay extra standard features and still have to wait 4 hrs for a charge :drake:

I'd like to see Xbox go with an internal battery and ditch the AA for their next controller iterations.  It's just more convenient.  And as was already brought up before... newer chargers can charge batteries really really fast.. so you're not inconvenienced for long.

Dualsense drains quickly, but it also has more tech going on inside of it.  So using a quick charger instead of whatever the console probably puts out might help a bit.
