Steam now notifies you when your DualSense controller has a firmware update available

That's kinda interesting.  I wonder if that's Valve just pushing these notifications on their own, or whether Sony and Valve have set it up to check for updates automatically now?

 

 

They've also added full support for the Switch Joy-cons to be both used individually or paired together.  Before only the Switch Pro controller was officially supported.  And they've also added support for more fightsticks.

The Switch actually has a similar feature where it lights up when new games are available, but it was added as an Easter egg by Nintendo and an inside joke because they knew the players would never notice

Nintendo used the same light for the "low battery" notification so sheep just naturally turned their system off when they saw that light

Indeed!  Steam is wasting their time with this when it really needs to implement a notification for when the nearest store has OLED tvs in stock
