"Sony’s machine is currently the UK’s best-selling console of the year (so far). The platform moves ahead of Nintendo Switch. Nintendo’s hybrid console also enjoyed a sales increase of 4% in August."

"Xbox Series S and X sales remained steady last month, but was in third place overall."

Xbox :feelsbadman:

Switch is reaching its saturation point and PS5 stock levels have increased which has

increased its sales.

Xbox well... They're just last as always.

Xbox is so worthless

lmao   With the "hybrid" market, as you're calling it... Deck has access and gets far more games.  If you want to play any number of games portably... the only way to do that is with the St

Lmfao.

Any switch followup they make will be immediately overtaken by handheld PCs. Any livingroom console will be inferior to the Series S.  Probably the only "blue ocean" they have is VR, and I don't think Nintendo is capable of taking it on.

This is what I mean. That whole path is now permanently solved by handheld PCs. Nintendo won't even match Steam Deck performance if they come out in 2024.

Just like PSP would destroy DS back in 2005 and lead to Nintendo’s death? :hest:

BTW, DS and Switch are the two best selling Nintendo hardware ever. :drake:

Nintendo will be here for you to complain about for a very, very long time. :wow2:

PSP was a great system and anyone over 12 who bought a DS is still a virgin today.

However, there's a huge difference with handheld PCs: they don't need developer support. Without even trying, they're a better indie platform than Switch. There's no more novelty to a handheld that can plug into a TV because it is completely commodified.

People just want to play their games and not spend hour configuring them to play properly.   Hand held PCs will fail

This is not a real concern. SteamOS already works with 5000 games. You only spend time configuring things you couldn't even do on a hacked Switch.

Nintendo VR would be so awesome. Mario Kart VR, 3D Mario VR, Metroid Prime VR, F-Zero VR, Star Fox VR. Jesus christ. I'd buy that day one if done right.

The only virgins right now are Hermslobs playing Decks in public. :gabelol:
