Substatic 420
GeForce Beyond | GTC 2022 | NVIDIA LordC wins again!
sugarhigh 519
This is probably going to be a routine showcase for the 4000 line. But in the medium-term I think Nvidia needs an x86 partner to compete in high performance mobile chipsets. Might have to be the lesser known Via brand.

jehurey 3,227
hardware looks great, and at least they are consistent with the price. but think about what games they had to use to demonstrate it. Another nVidia produced/sponsered demo that is almost certainly not a full game And they had to return back to Cyberpunk, a 2020, to show off ray-tracing. And then they sponsered a mod team to update Portal, a 2007 game. And Morrowind, which actually might be the most exciting announcement.

Power-wise it's insane... but so is the price.
jehurey 3,227
uh, unless these websites are getting the specs wrong, there's some funny business going on with the cheaper 4080 people are speculating that its actually a 4070. At $
FIREPOWER 710
Getting the 4080. I haven't decided if I'm getting the 12GB or 16GB yet. Will have to wait and see benchmarks before I pull the trigger. I'm just happy they are launching this year and not next year like early rumors suggested.

Even for nVidia, that's pretty scummy. The real 4080 cost $1200

All the rumors were correct. Fuck Nvidia. if I didn't need a new PC badly this year I probably wouldn't patronize them.

Twinblade★ 3,891
Given the slump Crypto is in I was hoping they would go back to reasonable price ranges....
Hot Sauce 2,727
Cheaper than I was expecting with all the talk of how many Ampere cards are still out there. Gonna wait for benchmarks and see how far down 3000 series cards go.
