They're worth about 2 trillion dollars and are one of the most powerful corporations on Earth yet they keep painting themselves as the underdog, as the 'little guy'. Its funny to see them come out and admit they're 3rd place in sales and that they have no games and Gamepass is lacking, considering that fanboys like Ghostz and JonB have been trying to argue the opposite for years now

It would be depressing if COD is still a juggernaut franchise in 10 years. Sony should take the time to produce their own modern fps since the they won't have a cozy relationship to Activision going forward. Just don't bring back SOCOM.

I dunno, Activision pours alot of money into making CoD single-player campaigns looking like the most high-octane AAA production action movie.

 

I am shocked that they have established a system in which a developer pretty much has almost 3 entire years to craft the single-player campaign, while still releasing a CoD game on an annual basis, because they have 3 studios on alternating development schedules.

 

This is the total opposite of how Microsoft manages game releases.

 

If Microsoft were to buy them, just by their sheer incompetence, they'll probably end up screwing up Call of Duty and what it does best.

Well you never know CoD has done well these past 10 years but yeah many other franchses Guitar Hero, Halo etc all fell off ober the course of 10 years.

It has done well, and swiping the Battle Royale, free to play concept definitely bought them a few years. But Modern Warfare was born from the War on Terror, and that is if not over, definitely on the back burner. CoD still has a great feel and some of the best guns, but the whole package is getting stale.

This could very much force the deal to go through. Sony's worries are just fear mongering. And fuck Sony, HDDVD was better all their antitrust shit they have pulled in the past.
