ChatGPT and AI thread

Recommended Posts

AI is rapidly picking up pace and evolving like everything around us (except Nintendo graphics)

The applications seem endless and game changing when you delve into its possibilities.

ChatGPT ( https://chat.openai.com )released some days ago, some text-based AI program that generates text as if it were human after input

You can let it create a story using some setting or characters, expand on it and alter things.

Tell it to write a poem or song lyrics in a specific genre. A movie script or hypothetical conversation.

A fake review or resume. Some coding applications but I'm not really familiar with coding so I can't explain it well.

It's incredibly impressive and instant, and these examples only scratch the surface. But it also kinda feels like we're opening Pandora's box ngl :dame:

This shit is so mind-blowing :tom:

I just type some random shit that comes to mind, like give me a top-15 of the countries you are most likely to die in.

Mexico appears on the list. Ok, I ask it why Mexico is on the list, it starts giving numbers and blaming it on cartel violence.

I ask it to write a story on a female cartel member. It does immediately but it's too boring she roams the street with her AK-47 and kills everyone in her path.

Typical day in Mexico who cares 😂

Now I ask it to write the story again but this time it's a one of a kind robotic tiger with super strength and intelligence and its name is Dino-X1 :laff:

As I get lost making this story up on the go the tiger gains self-awareness and it starts questioning everything he does as he can process everything immediately that would take an average person a thousand lifetimes (it's too long to post everything really)

I end up throwing the tiger in the ocean for its own good :]

I ask it to turn the whole story into a movie script, it does.

Then to post a transcript of its final thoughts as the movie ends

Now I ask it to turn it into a poem

To see all of this happen instantly or mere seconds as you push enter is insane :dame:

No doubt as this evolves we'll be able to create our own animated movies since we already can create AI imagery too.

Posting animations of the phone wars our resident posters are having or a Nintendo sales bedtime story for the sheep, the future looks bright I tell you :bate:

Chrome Lords (1988) was a shameless ripoff of Terminator and Robocop, but it features some incredible visuals and an insane mythology.

Never seen this movie :dame:

Neither have you seen this film, because it isn't even real it was generated with AI. ... :dame:

GOD DAMN

It won't take long before we'll have AI-generated movies, you'll probably be able to insert your own face in there eventually and be your own action hero (including porn) 😐

Insane stuff. My fear is as everything evolves it will get so good that the internet will become a weird place where you won't be able to tell fiction from reality anymore, or if the people you're watching in video or talking to are even real.

Real dystopian shit imo and you know for a fact it will get abused.

That Chrome Lords movie looks sick. Like a Heavy Metal album cover.

Wait, what? It isn't real. What the fuck.

We should ban advanced AI right now before it's too late.

Holy shit, AI generated Fallout. I would pay a small fortunate to get these movies for real.

But the best one is easily Morrowind. Holy fuck.

And Skyrim.

@Twinblade @bhytre

These imageries really bring back memories of old movies. Especially Excalibur (1981), I can't say it's a masterpiece but I have a lot of nostalgia for it, I saw it at a very young age and the imageries had a profound impact on me. It was theatrical and felt surreal, like a proper fantasy. The armors were non realistically shiny, the movie doesn't feel grounded in reality. I wanted to see more movies with art direction like this but they never really materialized.

Sorry for the poor quality but I can't find better.

CGI trash nowadays aren't real movies. They're video games with no gameplay.

It's cool because AI seems to recreate imagery close to what we used to see in these fantasy films where they would actually use real props and decor, which gave a lot of realism to everything . CGI doesn't come close when trying the same thing but these AI images sure do and even surpass the kind of things people could create by hand

Agreed.

Pretty sure the AI actually use real images of old movies for assets. Some of the images looks too real to me to be entirely made up from scratch. Some others not so much.
