Lmao getting upset at resetERA, a private forum, for banning mention of Harry Potter...............but then going full Cancel Culture by doing a 180* and defending State and Local governments when they ban 1000s of books because of "Jaaaysus", telling private companies they can't enforce certain TOS rules, banning abortion INFORMATION website access, telling private companies what they can or can't train in or even merely advocate, telling teens they can't watch porn, and telling Universities they can't teach certain elective courses. You're ultra tribal and have zero solid stance on this topic. You do complete spins depending on whose on the other side of the censorship stick. I'm against BOTH sides doing it, you won't find me directly defending retardEra.

:will2:

1. Hundreds of the banned books were biographies, history, and SEL books. Some of the banned math books were banned for mentioning the vaccine or climate change as facts (holy fucking shit lmao). SEL books were banned even though every single study on it shows it works. 98% of these books already passed multiple best practice guidelines by the 2 biggest library groups so none of your subjective complaints even matter at this point.

2. Now this Talibangelical is pearl clutching at the notion of teens......watching Pornhub.................:will2: Oh the humanity!

3. These University courses are freely chosen. Elective. Telling a University they can't teach certain courses because they hurt your feelings is lunacy. As is telling a private company they can't have certain types of training or TOS. This goes against all of the shit you pretend to be for whenever you get mad at "cancelling". Some of these things have even been ruled by judges as violating the 1st amendment.

This is low IQ 3rd world nonsense and I'm not surprised that you're actually sticking up for it.

Propaganda has no place in educational books. I have seen enough examples of the kind of shit that got banned to know it's a real phenomenon. I can't vouch for every case but the idea is not wrong. Keep that shit out of school books. You guys can pretend it's because Republicans are Nazis. Pure BS.

Making porn sites less accessible is a good thing. Anyone saying otherwise is a degenerate.

No idea about universities. Pretty sure the ''don't say gay bill'' was aimed at pre teens students, which is what I am referring to.

Speaking of actual propaganda (which doesn't involve saying vaccines, history, SEL, and climate change are real) :

Quote

The Moms for Libraries campaign, which appears to have been launched in 2022 but driven into a new gear last month and during the early days of 2023, is part of that much larger and better-known national group Moms for Liberty, whose financial backers are largely unknown and which is organizing conservative women to influence and/or take over school boards. On the surface, Moms for Libraries prompts supporters to purchase copies of books from a handful of small conservative publishers it’s chosen, such as Heroes of Liberty, which released a book in December valorizing Elon Musk. “

On one level, Moms for Libraries may seem to be not much more than a way to push a promo code for conservative publishers—one that has managed to get only about 5,000 books donated to it to distribute to schools. But the group’s mission is to turn libraries into the kind of battle fronts it can command, from social media to Fox News, as it has before with school boards. School librarians witnessed the toxic environment that Moms for Liberty has stoked, and on which Moms for Libraries is now focused, using the massive, apparently well-resourced network that Moms for Liberty has built so quickly. This is not a conservative bookmobile. Parents “woke up,” said Rahimian in the Moms for Liberty podcast interview. “The lockdowns and the virtual schooling really opened parents’ eyes,” including her own. “That’s how I was born into the Moms for Liberty world.”

 Lmao.

Even if they were fighting liberal propaganda (in most cases they aren't, they're just banning facts they dislike), they're just turning around and doing the same shit.

More woke on woke hatred. :D

All this because JK Rowling said they are differences between a man and a woman. The highest form of crime to the woke mob. Can you imagine how empty their lives must be when that's what you spend your time being morally outraged about.  :kaz:

Lmfao as opposed to people who spend their time casually questioning why other people exist and try their best to make things hard for them?

While it's indeed stupid, it's not NEARLY as bad as being morally outraged about.......a history book for mentioning the KKK. Banned by a Kansas town because it brought up their embarassing history. 🤣😂

Or being morally outraged about an Anne Frank book and banning it.

Or being morally outraged about a math book for saying climate change or vaccines were real and banning them.

Or being morally outraged about any book that uses SEL and banning dozens of them, even though it is proven to work by EVERY SINGLE reviewed study on it.

Or being morally outraged about elective University courses that teach facts you don't like.

The difference? This Harry Potter nonsense is just a few annoying people on twitter/reddit/forums, while the things I brought up used the Government to actually ban things over the last 2 years because "Muh Jaysus". Typically sparked from far right Christian Groups whose leaders don't even have a GED.

Also, some relevant commentary to stay on topic:
