Episode 8 of THE LAST OF US reached an impressive 8.1 million viewers on Sunday night — a new series high. This marks a 74% increase from episode 1

Solid first season, but could've used more time to breathe. Maybe 2 additional episodes could help stagger the chapters. It's too tidy how every episode is a self contained arc. Pacing out PT2 will be even more difficult.

Disagreed, it's perfect

You didn't want to see at least one more:

- close encounter with clickers?

- indoor joel stealth scene with humans?

- original world-building segment not in the game?

Even if these are pure bloat, they'd allow for less predictable arcs in every other episode.

The lack of clickers is definitely disappointing. I fully expected at least 1 tense episode where Ellie and Joel are navigating a dilapidated underground area in the dark (maybe a metro) while trying to avoid clickers. That could have been dope.

There’s a lack of tension and atmosphere in general that were huge components of the universe in the games.

Then people would complain about the pacing being too slow

Been an absolutely unreal performance by the show both in terms of quality and actual mass market appeal. No one predicted it becoming one of HBO's biggest shows of all time. Incredible and well deserved.

How many people gonna replay PT2 after the show ends? We need another remake!

:aitch:  Sony domination continues even in the TV space.

Sony is an unstoppable force at this point. They have the top selling console worldwide right now and one of the best shows on TV right now is an adaptation of their game.

No wonder MS is desperately trying to acquire Activision. Sony's domination of the videogame entertainment space is unreal and they need desperate measures to counter Sony. Too bad none of their actions will help and the ShitBox is doomed to forever be in last place until it's discontinued  :hest:
