UK further restricts MS and Activision merge

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has restricted Microsoft and Activision Blizzard from "acquiring an interest" in each other.

It published an interim order stating they would need "prior written consent" from the UK regulator before making acquisitions between the companies.

The order applies to the businesses as well as their subsidiaries.

LOL, so in other words, if Microsoft and Activision tried to sell off portions of the company in pieces, the CMA just blocked them from doing so.

Its only appropriate, Microsoft attempting to be clever is about as successful as seeing lemmings on this forum attempting to be clever. It never works.
