Good news for MS: EU approves Activision acquisition

Is he wrong?  The cloud based gaming excuse sounded like people who don't know what they are talking about.

MS themselves were the ones hyping up cloud. You can’t blame the CMA for believing their bullshit

:jordan3: It’s irrelevant what you or I think of the deal or what Bobby thinks, what matters is the CMA thinks the Cloud was a valid reason to block MS. Now MS is going to have to convince the CMA that they made a bad decision (impossible) or that they didn’t gather enough facts to come up with their decision (unlikely but at least a small micro-chance they succeed here).

It’s still not looking good for MS because the CMA is still doubling down that they made the right decision today and that the EU’s ruling doesn’t affect their stance. We’ll see how this goes with the appeals but if I was a betting man I’d say the odds for this deal going through are still pretty grim and terrible :wow2:

You don’t even have to take my word on it, here’s an acquisition lawyer from Bloomberg saying the same thing…

While the EU decision offers a glimmer of hope, “it probably doesn’t change much” for Microsoft’s chances of success in legal challenges to the FTC and CMA, according to Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Jennifer Rie.

The Resetera thread on the acquisition has been shut down again for the second time because lemshits in there are crying about the CMA’s statement today and are upset that the CMA is being paid by Sony, hilarious stuff reading all the lemshit meltdowns in there  :hest:

CMA is the only real holdout, and gave the most bullshit low IQ false reasoning. Even Bobby Kottick owned their asses.

A matter of time till the fgt cows from CMA get owned.

So how'd that work out? cmpunk1.png

The point was Xbox shills were spinning a narrative that only the CMA was against it and everyone else approved. The FTC was against it, and the EU required some things. Just because the FTC is a wet blanket as corporations run America, it doesn't mean that the major regulators don't have concerns :umad:

Its funny if you cheer for ms twinkie, you'll be the first to cry when they're raising sub prices or locking content behind their own store, and enforcing DRM on the os itself.

:hest:are you saying that more than half of those 20 million people were just playing F2P online within the first four weeks of its launch?

That's a simple yes or no question.

And you aren't going to answer it

The FTC is preparing to fight MS in court.

CMA doubled down; they aren’t changing their position unless an external entity says to.

The deal is still dead. There's a reason the stocks haven't moved on this news :hest:

All three regulatory bodies have to approve the deal. MS only got EU and CMA is still doubling down on blocking the deal even after EU's decision.

Nothing has really changed at all as far as the deal goes. MS still has to appeal to the CMA and based on the CMA's response today, they aren't budging at all...

Not even an external entity can make them do that. They are completely independent.

The appeal will go to the CAT, and the CAT will send it back to the CMA. If MS can prove that CMA didn't do their due diligence in coming up with their decision then CMA will get to make the ruling again. All roads lead back to the CMA and that's why getting the CMA to overturn their own ruling is an almost impossible task.

FTC is also blocking the deal.

Only thing is that FTC have to prove their case in a court where MS' money and influence in Washington carries weight while with the FTC there is no court to appeal to. This retarded idea that CMA are the only holdouts is false considering the FTC is currently suing to block the deal right now.

Acting like you didn't just come back from a 3 week cuck hiatus after being consistently wrong on all your predictions :mj:
